We just returned from ART Baton Rouge. Each ART gathering is different than what we’ve experienced before. Baton Rouge was no exception.
Friday night began with worship leader Rick Pino joined by Jeremy Burk. The worship was amazing! The front of the church was filled with radical young and old worshippers. Damon Thompson from The Ramp spoke that night sharing on John the Baptist and drowning all our other lovers – those things that move to the front of our lives pushing away our passion for Jesus. It was powerful.
Saturday morning Rick Pino and Jeremy Burk were joined by Nathan Isaacs in leading the worship time. Nathan Isaacs is a quiet, unassuming guy who rocked the place. Tim Sheets then shared a powerful message challenging everyone not just for the need for awakening and revival in America, but the radical challenge for reformation making a difference in the 7 mountains of society (family, religion, government, business, education, arts & entertainment, media). He packaged the message in a very concise way that put people on their feet. Everyone there got it! It was outstanding.
Saturday afternoon Eddie James and his team shared those guys are out of the box! They tagteamed with Dutch Sheets in helping push back some of the spiritual challenges we were sensing in the Baton Rouge region.
Saturday night ARTour joined Bethany Church's regular 6:00 PM service. Eddie and band again led some radical worship. Dutch was scheduled to speak, but in the worship felt that Damon was to challenge people in their relationship with Jesus. You never know what's coming out of Damon's mouth he shares God's word in a way unlike any minister! Damon gave a special altar call for those who had been abused. The altar was flooded by those who were asking for help in leaving their unforgiveness at Jesus' feet. Then at the end of the service the altar was filled with people giving their lives to Jesus. Damon, along with Dutch and Ceci Sheets and Pastor Joel Stockstill, personally prayed for every person at the altar. Some amazing transformations happened lives were touched and changed!
All in all, ART Baton Rouge was outstanding! We are heading to Jacksonville, Florida May 1415 for the next ART gathering. If you can come, do whatever you can to be there. You will not only hear some radical worship and speakers, but your life will be changed! Jesus meets us at these gatherings. None are the same they are all just what that region needs.
Register now! We'll see you at ART Jacksonville!
