WHY THE A&R TOUR?

The fact that America is in desperate need of a spiritual awakening is indisputable. The 1828 edition of Noah Webster's dictionary defines "awakening" very simply as a revival of religion. However, the word, "revival" is defined as:

- A return, recall or recovery to life from death
- Return or recall to activity from a state of languor (indifference)
- Recall, return or recovery from a state of neglect, oblivion, obscurity, or depression
- Renewed and more active attention to spiritual concerns

We are convinced that an unprecedented awakening is imminent for America and is already in the infancy stages. We foresee this movement beginning, as it most often does, with the youth and young adults and eventually spreading to all age groups. What will be unique and critical about this movement; however, will be a synergistic joining of the generations in ways that perhaps have never been seen. Could God actually be waiting on us to hear his strategies and light the fires for this awakening around the nation? We believe so! Moreover, this movement will stand apart in its emphasis not only on spiritual experience but also on social impact. Webster's purist definition for "reform" is, "To abandon that which is evil or corrupt, and return to a good state; to be amended or corrected." It is clear that revival alone is not enough. If Kingdom believers in every generation do not have a clear and intentional plan to amend, correct, and reform the cultural shaping arenas of this society, our nation and ensuing generations will continue to become corrupt and deteriorate.
