Awakening is Here-Part 1
I believe we are about to see a third great awakening. That is what I am crying out for. I believe it is close. The Lord spoke to me a while back and said, “I want you to begin to say ‘it’s here.’” That’s dangerous because people can misinterpret what you are doing. I realize that we are not in the fullness of a revival or the full stage of an Awakening. But you don’t wait until a baby is full grown before you start calling it a person. It’s just an infant. It has some growing to do. There’s going to be some work involved. But the baby is here. I believe that’s what the Lord is saying.
Matthew 3:1-3 – “In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah, “A voice of one calling in the dessert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’”
An Awakening must be announced. In fact, whatever God is doing must be announced. He always starts announcing it before it comes in its fullness. God never waits until it is there and everybody knows it and starts talking about it. God always starts to talk about what He is doing before it is really seen outwardly. Like Elijah who said, “I hear the sound of an abundant rain,” when there was no sign of it yet. The only sound you could hear was in the spirit. In fact, he prayed seven times in deep travail before he even saw a cloud the size of a hand. The point is – there was nothing to see. There was nothing in the natural realm to look at and say, “God is about to send the rain.” And if you look around you in America today, unless you look with spiritual vision, you won’t say, “Revival is imminent.” You may say, “Destruction is imminent.” But I’m hearing a sound and many of the people that run with me in the apostolic and prophetic movement are hearing a sound of rain. He always sends a “John the Baptist” message to get people ready.
Announcing does two things. First off, it literally changes the atmosphere. And God said, “I want you to go across this nation with a team of people and I want you to begin to say, ‘Awakening is here!’ ‘The Spirit of Awakening is in the atmosphere.’” No one really knew that Jesus was on the scene when John started saying, “Repent, the kingdom of heaven is in your midst.” But God needed someone to announce it. And when we begin to announce and decree these things it does something in the realm of the spirit. It creates an atmosphere that allows God to do what He’s getting ready to do.
